Abstract | Twelve resource units are presented for the teaching of science and mathematics to gifted students in secondary school. The units present an introduction, tips for teachers, objectives, activities, and materials lists. The units include: "Functions, Relations, and Graphs" (Priscilla Watts); "More Wham to the Gram (A Study of the Metric System)" (Mary Lindsay); "Exploring Polygons" (Marty Hearn); "How Far? How Fat? How Full? A Teaching Unit on Measurement" (Danny Seaver); "It All Depends on How You Slice It: A Study of Conic Sections" (Sherry Austin); "Our Vanishing Appalachian Environment" (Katherine McGrady); "Adapting to Life" (Malinda Jones); "The Possibility of Probability and Statistics" (Ione Collins); "Verbal Problems" (Beatrice Pickens); "Shapes in Your Life" (Nellie Pruitt); "Logical Reasoning" (Brenda Hughes); and "Going, Going, Gone?"
