| Abstract | Based on interviews and on questionnaires sent to EUDISED (European Documentation and Information System) "R & D Bulletin" subscribers, and the users of the EUDISED online database, this report evaluates current EUDISED activities. The report reviews the responses to the questionnaire; assesses the current situation (a period in which those most directly concerned wish to improve the efficiency of EUDISED, but are unable to mobilize resources to realize that wish); and analyzes responses from the database users, bulletin subscribers, and national member agencies. It is recommended that: (1) adequate resources be made available within the Council of Europe secretariat and within national agencies to ensure products of quality; (2) the present activities relating to educational research project information be improved before there is expansion in other areas; (3) a more vigorous marketing effort be made; and (4) ending EUDISED activities be considered if resources for their efficient development cannot be provided. Five appendixes include: statistical data on the replies to the survey questionnaires, a table of countries that contribute to the "R & D Bulletin," and an outline of a proposed EUDISED user guide.
