Abstract	This curriculum guide was developed, based on sound principles of human growth and development, to present the most recently available information on AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). The curriculum presents information on the known facts about AIDS and the AIDS virus infection. It also addresses the potential for adolescents and adults to contract the AIDS virus, explaining the extent to which promiscuity and drug abuse contribute to the potential spread of AIDS. The curriculum emphasizes the decision-making process. It affirms clear moral standards for AIDS education and provides information on how to help people resist social pressures that contribute to dangerous behavior. The curriculum guide contains 11 lesson plans for units on AIDS. Each lesson plan includes unit topic, suggested teaching time, key teaching resources, objective, teaching activities, suggested resources, and evaluation methods. Tests and answer keys are provided. Transparency masters are also included. (KC)
