AbstractA statistical data file on local education agency (LEA) students and staff is provided. The data file includes counts of the number of schools, the numbers of students and teachers at various levels, and the numbers of instructional aides and other staff. Data file figures for teachers, aides, and, where possible, other staff are in full-time equivalents. The data were edited using an edit/imputation technique that replaces suspect data with information from another LEA with similar characteristics. These replacements were verified before release. Imputation flags have been set to one (1) for all variables that have been imputed. TYPE OF SURVEY: Census; National Survey. POPULATION: Local Education Agencies (except those in Michigan). RESPONDENTS: Local Education Agencies. RESPONSE RATE: Local Education Agencies (100%). FREQUENCY: Annual. YEAR OF EARLIEST DATA: 1984. YEAR OF LATEST DATA: 1985. (TJH)
