Abstract | The purpose of this guide is to stimulate and provide a framework for local discussion concerning the need for an AIDS education program, acceptance of the integration of such a program into the district's curriculum, and agreement on its content. The first section briefly outlines some of the dimensions of this disease. The next two sections discuss the development and purposes of an AIDS education program. Next, sample criteria for evaluating the program are listed. Sample learner outcomes and sample lesson plans are also included. Appended is a glossary; a list of various resources; and sample diagrams of the sample diagrams of the immune system, the chain of infection, and breaking the chain of infection. (SI) |
