Abstract | This collective bargaining agreement between Niagara County Community College and the college's Faculty Association covers the period between September 1, 1987 and August 31, 1990. The articles in the agreement set forth provisions related to: (1) definitions of terms; (2) recognition of the Association as the sole bargaining agent; (3) rights and responsibilities of the employer; (4) Association privileges; (5) supersedure of the agreement of any rules, regulations or practices of the college that are contrary to its provisions; (6) duration of the agreement; (7) recruitment and appointment of department heads, teaching personnel, and program coordinators; (8) types and periods of appointment; (9) promotions and evaluations; (10) termination of service and retrenchment procedures; (11) conditions of employment; (12) college facilities; (13) academic freedom; (14) the academic year; (15) professional and personal leaves of absence; (16) salaries and fringe benefits; (17) grievance procedures; and (18) early retirement incentives. Several memoranda of understanding are attached, covering such matters as breaks in college service, final grades submission, large lecture hall use, and seniority accrual. (AYC) |
