AbstractThis issue is dedicated to vocational and adult education. "Our Children's Future: Programs for Success" (John Folks) presents the goals for public education in Oklahoma. "Vocational Education in Oklahoma: Responding to Change" (Roy Peters) provides background information on vocational education in Oklahoma and enumerates the strategic directions for the future. "Preferences and Characteristics of Health Occupations Students in Three Postsecondary Educational Settings" (Karen Gable) compares the information and decision-making preferences of 1,188 health occupations students enrolled in different educational settings in Indiana. "An Occupational Analysis of Oklahoma T&I Teachers: Implications for Teacher Education" (Richard Sullivan) presents the results of a study to determine the educational tasks considered most important by trade and industrial education teachers in Oklahoma. "Vocational Education for Disadvantaged Students" (Jerry Wircenski, Lynda West, Michelle Sarkees) addresses dropout prevention for disadvantaged high school students. "Finding the Elusive ESL (English as a Second Language) Student: Mexican Migrant Workers in a Midwest Suburb" (Robert Nolan) describes the problem of locating Mexican migrant workers for the purpose of recruiting them for educational programs.
