Abstract	The collective bargaining agreement between Temple University of the Commonwealth System of Higher Education and the Temple University chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) covering the period July 1, 1986-June 30, 1988 is presented. Items covered in the agreement include: AAUP recognition; no discrimination; affirmative action; rights of the university and the union; dues deduction; grievance and arbitration procedures; no strikes/lockouts clause; faculty promotion; tenure; faculty termination; department heads; appointment, promotion, and termination of librarians and academic professionals; workload; teacher salaries; compensation for summer semester and third academic semester; compensation for overload teaching; faculty merit awards; compensation for department heads; health and life insurance; pension; liability protection; early retirement; leaves of absence; vacation policy for academic professionals; study leaves; research awards; and personnel files.
