The guide to teaching basic language arts skills focuses on handwriting, spelling, composition, thinking and organizational skills, listening skills, and oral communication skills. The science guide concerns lessons in the physical, life, earth, space, and environmental sciences. The physical education guide aims to help children understand the contribution of body movement to growth and development, and to understand the use of movement skills. The math guide introduces children to basic concepts of numeration, operations, fractions and decimals, graphing, problem solving, measurement, and geometry.
