| Abstract | Follow-up data on 1983-1984 bachelor's degree graduates of 14 Michigan public and private institutions are presented. For each field of study, data are provided on: average monthly and yearly starting salaries, the number of graduates, the percentage unemployed, the percentage employed in Michigan, and the percentage in graduate school. The relative demand by academic major for the graduates is also indicated for the following unemployment rates: none to 4.9%, 5 to 9.9%, 10 to 14.9%, 15 to 19.9%, 20 to 24.9%, 25 to 29.9% and higher than 30%. Also provided is a historical summary of the efforts (from April 1983 through May 1985) of the Michigan College and University Placement Association to promote a statewide follow-up report for all Michigan college graduates.
