Abstract | Policy Analysis and Simulation System (PASS) is an interactive microcomputer model that can be used by educational administrators, policy-makers, and planners to simulate and forecast, under conditions of environmental uncertainty, the impact of strategic policies on the projected trends and goals of educational performance. PASS generates alternative futures by incorporating various analytic procedures with the subjective judgments of experts to produce a single possible scenario that compares a simulated future with three alternative forecasts for the same period. PASS is a menu-driven program that operates on an Apple IIe microcomputer with a single disk drive and a printer. A graphic display of the program and 12 references are appended. (MLF) |
