Abstract	Descriptions of 93 museum collections and exhibit centers in the United States and Canada are provided. Entries are grouped into four categories: (1) air and space, (2) natural history, (3) science and technology, and (4) special topics museums. Within each category the museums have in turn been broken down into major ones (which have lengthy descriptions) and "honorable mentions" (which have briefer descriptions). In some cases, the honorable mentions are smaller institutions with unique exhibits that will be unknown to many science buffs. Each entry includes the museum's name, address, and telephone, and information on hours, admission fees, publications, reproductions (such as posters, postcards, prints, slides, etc.), and research opportunities. Lists of museums by regions and by subject categories are included in appendices. In addition, the names of all museums described are listed in the table of contents. (JN)
