| Abstract | This study reports the results of a state-wide (Connecticut) teacher stress survey conducted with 58 low-stress, 250 moderate-stress, and 57 high-stress special education teachers (total N = 365). Dependent variable ratings for the degree of intensity (How strong?) and the degree of frequency (How often?) of 38 emotional, behavioral, and physiological manifestations of job-related teacheer stress are reported. Results include: 1) the relative frequencies and means of the most frequently and strongest occurring of 38 emotional, behavioral, and physiological manifestations, and 2) statistically significant differences among high-, moderate-, and low-stress teacher groups for the 38 stress manifestations. Tables provide a statistical analysis of the results. (Author/DB) |
