Abstract | This module, Community Resources, is one of five from Project DECIDE, which was created to design, develop, write, and implement materials to provide adult basic education administrators, instructors, para-professionals, and other personnel with curriculum to accompany the Indiana Adult Basic Education Curriculum Guide, "Learning for Everyday Living." It contains 13 instructional packages called Student Activity/Task Packets (SATs). Subjects of SATs in this module are community services; applying for community services; recreational services; information sources; the library; citizen complaints; signs related to transportation; transportation facilities, travel schedules, and fares; use of maps; time zones; travel reservations; and automobile driving regulations and courtesies. Each packet contains a teacher guide, a pre-post test and answer key, a student guide, student response booklet, instructional activities, and answer key. Each packet covers one or more related objectives. Other modules in the series include consumer economics, occupational knowledge, health, and government and law. (CT) |
