Abstract | Data for this study was collected by mailing a specially designed survey instrument to a random sample of 1978 and 1979 graduates from 20 high schools in the central portion of Kentucky. Data from each school was to be analyzed separately, and pooled to reflect the perceptions of the average graduate of the 20 schools. Perceptions measured included: (1) preferred teaching techniques; (2) preferred classroom organizations; (3) conditions in the high school; (4) preparation in general skill areas; (5) preparation in general skill areas; (5) preparation in basic skill areas; (6) preparation for adult roles; and (7) high school departments/areas. A copy of the instrument is appended, as well as a study guide which is intended to help the reader interpret the research report data. (RL) |
