Abstract	A questionnaire developed by the S-114 Research Project to study agriculture and home economics majors was utilized to develop a profile of students majoring in home economics at Utah State University (USU) and to compare goals, attitudes, and perceptions of USU home economics majors to those of home economics majors at 13 land grant colleges in the Southern Region. The profile included information concerning background, goals, attitudes, and image projections of home economics majors obtained from 158 returned questionnaires. The Kilmogorov-Smirnov statistical test was applied to responses of 13 of the questions related to goals and perceptions. These specific variables were comparatively analyzed to test the two null hypotheses. Home economics majors at USU reported significantly higher educational aspirations, greater perceptions of being less interested in large earnings, and stronger traditional attitudes concerning the role of women than did the home economics majors at the other colleges. Results indicated a need for more studies, especially of a cross-comparison nature, devoted to vocational and career preparation of college women enrolled in Utah universities.
