Abstract | Data on geographic origins, or permanent residences, of first-time students at the State University of New York are presented for fall 1977 and fall 1978. Student data elements are student load (full-time or part-time) and permanent residence; institutional data elements are institutional location and, in the case of community colleges, sponsorship area. The organization of data is as follows: summary data for the complete state university system; numbers of first-time students by load, institution, and institutional type; system-wide summary of student permanent residences; data for each institution that indicate enrollment of first-time students by load and permanent residence; number of first-time students attending the State University for each county and the institution in which they are enrolled; and additional data including the high school status and age group of full-time, first-time students. Enrollment data are also presented on two maps of New York State by county. (SW) |
