Abstract | The purpose of this practicum was to develop, implement, and evaluate a substitute teacher program. The project stressed the familiarization of substitute teachers and school administrators with their respective support roles based on the assessed needs of each group. The program stressed needs for available materials and for communication among school and institute personnel. A method for planning and implementing the program is included in this document. Also included is a handbook explaining Sacramento public school procedures to prospective substitute teachers. (Authors/JD) |
