Abstract | Module 1 of a seven module package for child protective service workers explores volunteer parent aide programs in the areas of child abuse and neglect. Directions and discussion questions are provided for six training activities which cover the unique contributions of parent aides, the beliefs and assumptions that underly the parent aide program, and the relationship between the professional and volunteer roles.
