Abstract | This annual report presents statistical information about the degrees awarded by Canadian universities and colleges between 1960 and 1972. Extensive tables and graphs provide data for the number of degrees awarded by level, by field of study, and by geographic region. The various degrees are categorized as diplomas and certificates; first university degrees or equivalent undergraduate diplomas; and graduate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. The results indicate that the number of degrees awarded in the last 12 years has more than tripled. An increase in the number of women students is noted and geographical distribution of students is also discussed. (SF) |
