| Abstract | This guide is designed to provide teachers with concepts and instructional experiences for use in classroom drug education. Teachers are encouraged to develop additional student activities, audio-visuals, and evaluation tools. Activities have been developed to enable students to: (1) increase their knowledge of drugs; (2) develop skills in making decisions about drugs; and (3) clarify their values regarding drug use. There is also a reference section which includes pharmacological information about most drugs of abuse, and a primer on alcoholism. Treatment programs in Kentucky and additional state and national sources of information are listed. (Author/PJC) |
