Abstract | This paper describes an in-service course for the design, development, and evaluation of mediated learning activities. Each Learning Activities Package (LAP) has six basic components: concept, rationale, objectives, preassessment, activities, and evaluation. Each of these components is outlined, with emphasis placed on writing objectives (expressing who will do what under what conditions and how well) and developing learning activity options (providing the student with alternatives in instructional presentation). A suggested 5-day schedule is outlined for the planning and production of these LAPs and covers such production techniques as scripting and storyboarding, slide production, transparency development, lettering, laminating and dry press mounting, and audiotape production.
