AbstractDesigned to be used by secondary students, this booklet is meant to help students become aware of and consider vocational education programs which are nontraditional for their sex. The major sections encourage students to (1) explore their interests; (2) consider the role in their lives of paid work outside the home; (3) think about the work they will do inside the home; (4) evaluate whether vocational education courses which are not traditional for their sex may offer them a way of pursuing their interests or gaining skills they need to work inside and outside their homes; and (5) become familiar with their legal rights to nondiscrimination and equal treatment in schools and employment. Each section contains information for students to consider, questions for them to answer and think about, and suggestions for actions they may take to explore various issues further. Black and white photographs and sketches illustrate the booklet. Numerous inventories, checklists, and questionnaires are included. (Author/LMS)
