Abstract | This guide contains descriptions and credit recommendations for almost 800 credit courses in a wide variety of subject areas conducted by some 70 organizations in New York State. The organizations include business and industry, labor unions, professional and voluntary associations, government agencies, and other organizations whose primary function is not education. The guide is intended for use in the academic counseling of students. Information provided includes the history of the program; questions and answers for students, administrators, and faculty; and directions for using the guide. Following this, the listing of organizations is given, along with course descriptions. Each course description provides the following information: title, course number, location, length, dates, objective, instruction, and credit recommendation. Appendixes include courses evaluated by other program offices, a list of evaluators, program policies and procedures, and a course index. (CT) |
