Abstract | Nonteaching career options for undergraduate physical education majors are explored in this report. Two committees, each of which addressed different aspects of the topic, compiled their findings for the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. One committee identified types of options currently offered by colleges throughout the country. The other investigated procedures that would be useful in advising or selecting prospective students into the appropriate career option. The physical education curriculum of higher educational institutions is examined with specific emphasis on nonteaching career training offered. A list of 24 career possibilities is appended, and the colleges and universities offering courses necessary to obtain such jobs are cited. (JD) |
