Abstract | This document is intended for teachers with some experience who have gone through the process of self-analysis to write adequate performance objectives and criterion-referenced test items correlated to these learning goals. The next step is to make available to learners a number of alternatives from which they may choose the most appropriate learning experiences. A brief discussion of needs that instructional technology is supposed to meet includes comparison of efforts and results. Instructional technology that meets teachers' needs is characterized as being self-training, self-evaluating, realistic, useful, boyproof, accessible, multi-area, student-motivating, learner-reinforcing, portable, storeable and soul-searching. The conclusion contains sections on technology as a key to gains and improvement, research management, and implementing ideas. (VT) |
