| Abstract | This Operations Notebook has been developed by administrators in small districts. It cites successful practices in an effort to be of assistance to other administrators in similar districts. The areas addressed are agreeing with the board of education on the superintendent's job priorities, organizing and conducting board meetings, managing paperwork, finding time to do the job, and communicating with the staff and the community.
