Abstract | This publication is a comprehensive record of testimony and exhibits presented to the Subcommittee on Elementary, Secondary, and Vocational Education of the U.S. House of Representatives during a hearing on H.R. 5996, a bill to provide emergency federal aid to local educational agencies in order to meet the rapidly increasing cost of fuel. Included are the testimony and exhibits of 20 individuals, including an architect, a mechanical contractor, a professional engineer, representatives of various educational organizations, and representatives from the U.S. Commerce Department, the Federal Energy Administration, and Energy Research and Development Administration.
