Abstract | This text, designed for college students, is oriented toward the social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of health. Eight health-related topics of major concern for college students were selected for inclusion: (1) interpersonal relationships; (2) coping strategies; (3) sexuality; (4) nutrition; (5) medical care and services; (6) health products; (7) common diseases; and (8) environmental factors. Within each broad topic area, major issues are identified and the content is developed to incorporate current knowledge. The information is designed to develop an awareness and ability to apply the information to individual decision-making situations. Photographs, line-drawings, and tables and charts accompany the text. (MM) |
