| Abstract | This booklet contains information for citizens on solid wastes. It discusses the possible energy available in combustible and noncombustible trash. It suggests how citizens can reduce waste at home through discriminating buying practices and through recycling and reuse of resources. Recommendations are given for community action along with state and federal responsibilities in resource use. The appendices also include a checklist for the home and community and a glossary of solid waste terms. (MR) |
