| Abstract | The major purpose of the Health, Education, Telecommunications experiment was to demonstrate the feasibility of distributing video materials to a large number of low-cost earth terminals located in rural areas. The receivers are of two types: one-way video receivers for the reception of video programs, and two-way voice/data terminals which permit the viewer to interact with the broadcaster. Details of the design, construction, and performance of these receivers are provided in this report. (EMH) |
