Abstract	Eleven articles comprise this document which presents commentaries on nutrition, population, and environmental education. The articles deal specifically with the crises of a rapidly growing world population, a worsening world food situation, and an energy crisis. A number of specific recommendations, both national and international, are offered to improve the precarious world-food situation. Following an introductory article on these problems, the second article calls for a global effort to help solve the problems through the continued efforts of the United Nations General Assembly's World Food Conference. The third article calls for a buildup of food stocks to give the world a security against serious food shortages through a coordinated system of national reserve stocks of cereals in both developed and developing countries. The following article calls attention to the problems of food in relation to the growing population--problems of both quantity and distribution. Also included is a Declaration on Food and Population presented to the United Nations on April 25, 1974. The problem of the world fertilizer shortage which threatens food supplies is discussed in another article. Other articles deal with food, nutrition, family health, and family responsibilities.
