Abstract | This book, one in the series on Aerospace Education I, emphasizes the two sides of aerospace--military aerospace and civilian aerospace. Chapter 1 includes a brief discussion on the organization of Air Force bases and missile sites in relation to their missions. Chapter 2 examines the community services provided by Air Force bases. The topics discussed in Chapter 3 are Air Force community relations and various educational opportunities available to personnel. Chapter 4 deals with the functioning aspects of the aerospace industry. The last chapter lists a large number of careers with a brief description for each of them. A section in this chapter explains the required education standards for most of the Air Force jobs. The book is designed for use in the Air Force Junior ROTC program. (PS) |
