| Abstract | The document is one of the teaching units developed by the Utah World of Work Project, designed to integrate career awareness into the regular curriculum at the elementary level. The fifth grade guide is tied to the health education area and focuses on the work of the orthodontist in terms of understanding what an orthodontist does, learning what orthodontic treatment involves, developing a knowledge of dental health in general, and developing awareness of career possibilities in the dental profession.
