Abstract	The document provides an analysis of relocation stability of individuals relocated during the March, 1970-November, 1971 contract period. Data bases were 1,244 applicants with screening information and 401 individuals with follow-up interview information. Approximately one half were in new areas six months after being relocated. Reasons for geographic and job stability are explored. Those relocatees who were the most stable after relocation were found to be the most mature, encumbered with responsibilities to others, experienced in prior mobility, and experiencing substantial improvements in life styles after relocation. Policy and research recommendations are provided for increasing relocation rates of those who can benefit from and be successful in relocation and for increasing likelihoods of relocation stability. Emphasis is placed upon additional research required to allow prediction of relocation outcomes prior to relocation of each individual client. (Author)
