Abstract | Business teachers in Illinois have developed innovative career education programs and in this document they share their ideas and practices through 11 descriptive articles. Teacher contributions include an overview of the career education concept in secondary education and its relationship to the business occupations cluster, career planning, pre-simulation and office simulation procedure, and the resource center and career education. Other topics dealing with career development skills include articles on: audio-tutorial lessons, an individualized secretarial science laboratory, a personalized career education program, job selection, and thoughts on the world of work.
