| Abstract | Three firms which offer online information retrieval are compared. The firms are Lockheed Information Service, System Development Corporation and the Western Research Application Center. Comparison tables provide information such as hours accessible, coverage, file update, search elements and cost figures for 15 data bases. In addition, general information is given on the firm and the search service including who to contact for information, membership requirements, equipment requirements, costs, special features and additional services. The data bases are Chemical Abstracts Condensates, Predicasts' Chemical Market Abstracts, Engineering Index, Inc., American Geological Institute, Institution of Electrical Engineers (London), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Technical Information Service: Government Reports Announcement (GRA), Macmillan's Current Index to Scientific and Technical Literature, American Petroleum Institute, National Agricultural Library, ISI Source and Citation Index, National Library of Medicine, Educational Resource Information Center, Abstracted Business Information and American Psychological Association.
