SMSA employer attitudes concerning the social desirability of the employment of women who are heads-of-households is discussed as well as the social provisions currently being offered to facilitate employment. New legislation required to place part-time workers on a better footing economically is identified. Obstacles presented by Civil Service are reported on. A review of the literature on part-time employment is included. (Author)
