Abstract | This guide describes and illustrates 50 perceptual games for preschool children which may be constructed by teachers. Inexpensive, easily obtained game materials are suggested. The use of tactile and visual perceptual games gives children opportunities to make choices and discriminations, and provides reading readiness experiences. Games depicted involve shapes and designs, concepts of height and number, alphabet games, visual discrimination games, nailboards, and picture matching games. (DP) |
