Abstract | This handbook provides a basis for consideration of acceptable approaches which are available and may be used to initiate the use of construction management services in the planning, design, and construction of federally assisted construction projects. It includes the mandatory federal requirements as well as acceptable procedures for selecting and awarding contracts to construction managers. In addition, it enumerates some of those items which should be included in a contract for construction management services. The procedures set forth are allowable within the limitations of existing federal statutes applicable to federally assisted construction projects. Particular attention has been given to satisfying the requirements of competitive bidding, as they apply to such projects. (Author) |
