Abstract | GRADES OR AGES: High school. SUBJECT MATTER: Consumer education especially as it concerns the consumer's desire for beauty. Included are considerations of cosmetics, health spas, reducing salons, wigs, and jewelry. ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is discursively organized through the topics listed above. The physical appearance of each page is three columns; they are labeled "Understandings (Desired),""Suggested Pupil and Teacher Activities," and "Source." OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: Under the column heading "Suggested Pupil and Teacher Activities" are listed sample teacher questions, random ideas, and possible assignments. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Under the column heading "Source" are listed reports, books, and articles, some of them referring specifically to the listed activities and some of them serving as recommended readings.
