| Abstract | This manual introduces teaching strategies into teacher education through microteaching. The manual aided in the experimentation of accepted teaching behaviors by practicing them in classroom situations. The four basic divisions in the manual are microteaching concerns, process concerns, affective concerns, and personal concerns. The first section deals with the use of microteaching in the teaching laboratory, stressing the importance of feedback for teacher self-evaluation. The second section presents sets of problem-solving strategies which taught students to formulate questions and seek answers to them. The third section provides a set of teaching laboratory activities to develop and enhance affective teaching skills. The last section contains a teaching task which was evaluated by the teacher. This last microlesson enabled the teacher to assess the changes in his teaching behavior. A four-page bibliography and a three-page index are included in the manual. (BRB) |
