| Abstract | The Delphi Technique involves getting individuals' reactions by mail to specific questions or statements, combining these reactions and again asking these individuals to review and rank the findings until a priority ranking has been determined. The State Department of Vocational Technical Education used this technique with 103 persons at the state, local, and national levels to assist with the identification of factors to consider in determining the future role of vocational and technical education. The participants were asked to provide 10 possible endings to the following statement: In order to plan vocational and technical education during the decade ahead, the State Department of Vocational and Technical Education should concentrate its resources and energies in the following area... Results of three rankings are presented in the hope that they can be used as input in the planning process. (Author/JS) |
