| Abstract | "Educational technology is a means for organizing a systematic process for designing, operating, evaluating, and upgrading the learning experiences of individuals in terms of specific objectives, based on research in human learning, so as to increase the effectiveness of education." This reference book provides information on educational technology, first presenting a classification scheme which organizes and displays the interrelationships between media and equipment. The next section alphabetically lists 282 companies in the educational technology field with complete addresses, telephone numbers, and product lines. Following the company listings, a section lists manufacturers and service organizations by 28 materials categories, including films, filmstrips, transparencies, audio and video tapes, and various kinds of equipment. A special chart is also provided that shows materials produced by each company. A statistical section presents a collection of data on educational technology, including present and projected expenditures on audiovisual materials, educational inventories, and government funding information.
