Abstract	The papers included in this volume constitute the report of a conference on bilingual education that took place in Toronto in March 1971, sponsored by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). An introduction to the book defines terms, presents questions and problems, and provides a summary of the current tasks established in the conference working paper.
