| Abstract | This report provides information that will hopefully enable those concerned to determine a course of action conducive to filling public school administrative positions with educators who fulfill the expectations demanded of them. Individual approaches to the selection of both superintendents and principals are offered. Appendixes contain (1) applicant criteria for the position of superintendent, (2) criteria for selecting a superintendent, (3) applicant criteria for the position of principal, (4) suggested questions for school director interviews of candidates for the district superintendency, and (5) interview evaluation.
