| Abstract | The audiovisual resources listed in this catalog cover 10 instructional-technology topics: administration; facilities; instructional design; learning and communication; media equipment; media production; media utilization; research; instructional techniques; and society, education, and technology. Any entry falling into more than one category is cross-referenced accordingly. Each entry provides the title, a descriptive note, and the year of production, as well as codes for the producer or distributor, type of media, mode of media, length in minutes or frames, and rental or purchase price. The types of media listed include 16 millimeter films, 8 millimeter films, "Super 8" films, cartridge forms of 8mm or Super 8 films, records, filmstrips, slides, tapes, videotapes, and transparencies. The full names and addresses of distributors and producers are given in a separate listing, and an alphabetical title index is provided. Prearranged groups of audiovisual materials are identified in the series index. The authors attempted to preview all material, but a lack of time forced them to rely on the producer's descriptions in some instances. Topics which were considered to be outdated, such as field trips, chalkboards, flannel boards, bulletin boards, maps, globes, and realia, were eliminated from this edition of the catalog. (JY) |
