Abstract | The manual is intended to assist school administrators and teacher coordinators in establishing and maintaining programs of industrial cooperative education, that is, programs of vocational education designed to provide high school youth opportunities to receive on-the-job training in an occupation which is trade and industrial in nature, of his or her choice, by cooperatively utilizing the resources of the school and community. This 1968 revised edition presents the basic philosophy, activities, methods, and operational procedures of industrial cooperative education programs.
