Abstract | THIS SURVEY REPORT INDICATES THE EXTENT TO WHICH PROGRAMED INSTRUCTION HAS HAD AN EFFECT ON USER AND NONUSER ALIKE. THE FAMILIARITY OF NONUSERS WITH PROGRAMED INSTRUCTION IS BELIEVED TO BE AN INDICATION OF THE IMPACT THIS NEW INSTRUCTIONAL APPROACH WILL HAVE UPON EDUCATION. MOST SCHOOLS USING PROGRAMS ARE IN THE TRIAL STAGE. A FEW ARE USING THEIR PROGRAMS AS PART OF REGULAR GROUP INSTRUCTION. MATHEMATICS WAS FOUND TO BE THE POPULAR SUBJECT FOR PROGRAMED INSTRUCTION. NONMACHINE FORMATS PREDOMINATED. (LP) |
