Abstract	El propósito de este artículo es investigar acerca de la disciplina Literatura Infantil. La proliferación de publicaciones y estudios relativos a la misma motiva que sea nuestro deseo el indagar sobre su legitimidad. Queremos expresar nuestras dudas acerca de la posibilidad de la materia ya que asienta sus fundamentos en la inocencia y pureza del mundo infantil. Dicha concepción tiene sus orígenes en las ideas aportadas por Locke y Rousseau. Ahora bien, ¿qué sucede si el mito se derrumba? ¿Y si la Literatura Infantil no es posible? ¿Qué intervención tienen el adulto y la sociedad en esta supuesta modalidad Literaria? ¿Y si el término dogma estuviese implicado en la Literatura Infantil? ¿Sería entonces tan libre el niño para poder construir su pensamiento? Ya en 1984 el clásico ensayo de Jacqueline Rose cuestionaba la posibilidad de la Literatura. Por ello, retomando dicha aportación, a lo largo de estas líneas trataremos de proporcionar nuestras respuestas apoyando las mismas en argumentos y ejemplos de situaciones que pueden invalidar la legitimidad de la Literatura Infantil.The aim of this article concerns the reflection on Children´s Literature. The emergent number of publications and studies related to this field create a motivation to research on its legitimacy. It is our desire to mention our doubts about the impossibility of Children´s Literature because its roots are based on the innocence of Children´s world. This assumption has its origins on Locke and Rousseau´s ideas. But, what happens if the myth disappears? And, what happens if Children´s Literature is not possible? What is the role of the adult and society? And what happens if the dogma appears in Children´s Literature? Would it be for children a possibility to build their free thought? In 1984, Jacqueline Rose´s classic essay mentioned the impossibility of Children´s Literature. Because of this, we will base our text on that idea. We will try to give some answers to the proposed questions, as well as giving examples to invalid the legitimacy of Children´s Literature.
